City of Omaha Public Works

Micro-Website Development | “Who Do I Contact?”

To solve the problem of giving the public an easy way to find out who to contact about various Public Works issues — such as reporting a pothole or a broken street light, or inquiring about who’s responsible for maintaining things like medians and sidewalks — Lovgren developed an interactive website. Using custom illustrations showing “general” neighborhoods, visitors can click on elements on each map to bring up information on who to contact.

Marketing and Public Relations Campaign | Snow Plan & Winter Emergency Procedures

In 2010, the City of Omaha instituted new winter emergency procedures including the institution of Snow Emergency routes. To get the word out, Lovgren worked with the city to develop informational brochures, ads for community newsletters, and public service announcements, in both English and Spanish, and has updated them each year since to reflect changes and updates to the procedures. LMG also worked to coordinate a press conference to brief the media on the plan in the fall of 2010, and has done so each successive year.
