Public Relations | Lexus of Omaha Moves to New Location

On February 16, 2014, Lexus of Omaha moved about 500 cars from their temporary location at 120th and Dodge to their new building a half-mile up the road. The procession was led by a “pace car” decked out with a giant red bow, a white LS460 driven by Performance Auto Group President Mickey Anderson. Other cars driven by employees and volunteers followed, with the entire move taking just a couple of hours.

Lovgren Marketing worked with them to publicize the event to media, and it was covered by local television stations and the Omaha World-Herald.

Event Planning and Public Relations | Opening Celebration

On May 8, 2014, Lexus of Omaha celebrated the opening of their new building with an event coordinated by Lovgren Marketing Group. Over 1,000 of Lexus’ customers attended the event, which featured tours of the facility, beverages and hors d’oeuvres at tables inside the dealership, and the presentation of a ceremonial Kabuto helmet, part of the traditional armor used by Japanese warriors until the 17th century. The helmet was presented to Mickey Anderson, president of Performance Automotive Group, by Jeff Bracken, Group Vice President and General Manager for Lexus.

Bracken and Steven Hearne, Lexus’ vice president of sales and dealer development, both based out of Torrance, California, represented Lexus at the event. Other dignitaries included Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert, City Councilman Franklin Thompson, and former Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne.
